Missions Statement
Castlecross Youth Ministries is a children’s and young adult’s ministry of Calvary Baptist Church equipped to engage young people in the Word of God and to inspire youth discipleship using a Middle-Ages-themed structure and curriculum. Its mission is to orient young people toward the Lord Jesus Christ and to raise the next generation of Christian Leaders to teach the Gospel where the Gospel is needed.
Philosophy
We believe that the future of our world holds innumerable promises that can only be fulfilled through the proper growth of our children. Additionally, we have accepted the Age of the Church to be a progressively changing stream, with many institutions tolerating more contemporary and liberal teachings that can easily indoctrinate children and inhibit young minds from seeing the truth of God’s Word. In the midst of it all however, we believe the conservative and traditional teachings of the Bible still to remain the foundation for spiritual and physical growth, being that it both has and will inevitably stand the test of time in remaining unaltered by human hands. That being said, it is our honor, as well as our privilege, to utilize Castlecross Youth Ministries as our pathway in reaching our young people for the Lord Jesus Christ in the future.
Doctrinal Statement
We believe that God the Father laid the foundations of the entire universe in six literal twenty-four-hour days, that he sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, was killed, buried, and resurrected three days later and now sits at the Father’s right hand, that His Holy Spirit indwells all who believe and call upon His name, that baptism, done only by immersion, is a public display of obedience toward the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that salvation, through the blood of Christ, is a free gift, given to all, and is received by faith and faith alone, and that those who walk in the light of God shall have eternal riches in glory.
